What Makes Humbowl a Healthy Fast Food Alternative?
Healthy is such a complicated term. What’s healthy for one may not be healthy for another. What’s healthy for you now, may not be healthy for you tomorrow (it probably will, this just helps get the point across).
We focus on whole foods and getting the right combinations of food onto your plate. Generally speaking a Humbowl is a whole grain, some veggies, a lean protein, and sauce. It’s hard to generalize healthy eating, but if there a way to do it, this is it. We get the food out pretty quickly. We cook to order, but unless you come in the middle of the lunch or dinner rush we can get most of our dishes out in about six minutes. Vegan-Options at Humbowl
We are not exclusively vegan, and do have animal product in our menu. Our menu is designed in a way that the vast majority of our menu can be vegan. Any of our Humbowls with our Legumes or Hodo Foods organic tofu protein choice will be vegan. The only non-vegan product in our menu are the eggs, the chicken (inc. chicken sausage), and the shrimp. We don’t have any dairy or other animal product. We like to think we offer healthy options for all omnivores and are a great option for vegans who want to go out to eat with their non-vegan friends.
Gluten Free Options at Humbowl
Our menu is completely gluten-free. This kind of happened by accident. We didn’t set out to become a gluten free restaurant, but we figured out pretty early in that most of our food was gluten free anyway, and really the only gluten in the menu was in some soy sauce in one of our sauces. We just changed the sauce a bit and boom, totally gluten free menu.
